Our last day in Bath was high-lighted by a two hour walking tour of Bath. The Bath Historical Society does these really great FREE walking tours. The tours are scheduled for two hours, but ours lasted about three hours. It was a great way to finish our stay in Bath, although we should have started our time in Bath with the tour instead. Nevertheless it was a great tour with lots of good information, including the history of Bath dating back about 2500 years. After the walking tour we went to the Roman Baths, which are very famous. We also spent some time visiting the Bath Abbey, which was spectacular. Then we just wandered around the streets of Bath to soak up the local culture. |

Bath Walking TourIn most towns there are Historical Societies that host reasonable, if not free, walking tours of the city. Bath was no exception. |

There is a residential area in Bath called the "Circus". In past times, this was the "place to live", to be and to be seen. |

The Roman BathsThe Roman Baths complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. It is a well-preserved Roman site once used for public bathing. The temple (baths) were constructed in 60–70 AD and the bathing complex was gradually built up over the next 300 years. |
